בתערוכה של ורדה כרמלי מוצגים צילומי מסע מהודו, כחלק מסידרת תצלומים ממקומות שונים בעולם..

המקום המצולם משמש תפאורה לקומפוזיציות אסתטיות על גבול החלום. הצבע, הדמות והצורה הינם אוניברסליים. הצילומים מתכתבים עם מסורת צילום החטף אך אינם משדרים תחושת אקראיות ברת חלוף אלא מציגים תמונה המשמרת זמן והמשכיות.

Place photography

Varda Carmeli's exhibition presents photographs taken in a journey to India, as part of a series of photographs taken at various places around the world.

The photographed site functions as scenery for an aesthetic composition verging on a dream. The color, the image and the form are universal. The photographs correspond with the snapshot tradition but do not reflect occasionality rather present a picture preserving time and continuity.
