Traditions, Visions and Herstory: Experiments in Wisdom

Exhibition on view through May 10th 2008 in Projects Room Gallery 1.
This exhibition is part of the Feminist thought, Feminist movement -- curated project series.

Featuring: Alina Poroshina, Kate Pollard, Vadis Turner, Marla Mossman, April Schweinhart, Pat Goodman, Liza Lambertini, Varda Carmeli, Traci Zaretzka, Helen Klebesadel, Peggy Nichols, Ruthanne F.Bauerle, Robin Antar, Sara Nguyen.

There is a legacy within the body of feminist artwork of re-telling traditional stories outside of the accepted patriarchal interpretations. This exhibition presents the re-telling of Herstory, with subject matter referencing a variety of sources and artwork created with a diversity of mediums. Each of the artists chosen for this curated project present their voice within this context. We are delighted to present this comparison and overview of Feminist perspectives.

Musée de La Poste -  "La Poste inspire des Artistes"

Le vernissage de l'exposition "La Poste inspire des Artistes" aura lieu le lundi 10 mars prochain à partir de 18h (qui se déroulera du mois de mars au mois d'octobre 2008).  Il y aura peut être un pré-vernissage pour les journalistes en présence des artistes de l'exposition.
Cette exposition montrera que La Poste et ses médiums (le sac postal, l'enveloppe, le timbre...) ont toujours intéressé les artistes (César, Arman, Klein, Buraglio, Arroyo...).
Un catalogue est co-édité par le Musée de La Poste et les éditions SNOECK à l'occasion de l'exposition.
