East Side Gallery – The Berlin Wall

Varda Carmeli's Poem was written on the East Side Gallery on the Berlin Wall
as part of a Peace Action, a project made by Mr. Günther Schaefer,
an artist and Ambassador, on 23rd September, 2004.
The East Side Gallery was established on the Berlin Wall on March 1990.
Günther Schaefer, one of the organizers and founders of the project was
created "Vaterland".
A reconstruction of the East Side Gallery was made on November 6, 2009
in the occasion of the events of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
The restored "Vaterland" returned by Günther Schaefer to its source
and Varda Carmeli's poem remained on the wall
as a memorandum of hope for peace.
